Colored Boxes for Price, Bid, and Ask Values

The Price, Bid, and Ask values in the Trade Center are now enclosed in colored boxes. This is an optional feature and can be turned off. The red box shows that the new value is lower than the last value. The green box shows that the new value is higher than the last value.

This allows you to easily see the trend and movement of a set of stocks in any portfolio. You can quickly notice a prticular type of movement in certain industries, sectors, any set of stocks that you may be tracking, or the market as a whole.

If we were to give this feature a name, it would be the Market Trends Analysis Tool. This, at a glance, trend analysis tool can be very useful to you. Investors know that decisions are often made after noticing a trend early, as it is happening.

Without these boxes, it is difficult to see the constant fluctuations in the market. With these boxes, you are able to easily gage these fluctuations more correctly.

In this screen shot of the Trade Center, you can easily see that the trend is a downward trend (red boxes). Even though the current trend is downward, by looking at the Change values, you can see that the general trend of the market is up.

If you prefer not to see the colored boxes, you can turn them off by going to Options -> Preferences -> Display and checking the "Color cell borders on tick" checkbox off.
