| 1 - Click on the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969168 or place it in the location field of your web browser and press [Enter]. |
| This opens the Microsoft support page for Agent-enabled programs. |
| In the upper left hand corner under "Hotfix Download Available" you will find the "View and request hotfix downloads" link. |
| 2 - Click the "View and request hotfix downloads" link. |
| 3 - Follow instructions 1 and 2 on the "Hotfix Request" page. Make sure you check the box beside "Microsoft Agent" and that you provide a valid email address, because this address is where Microsoft Support sends the download link and password for the hotfix. |
| 4 - Check the email account you specified in step 3 and open the one titled "Hotfix download link you requested". |
| 5 - In the email you'll find the download link for the hotfix near the bottom next to the line that starts with "Location:". Clicking on the link will launch the download that you then save to your hard drive. (Make a note of where you save it, so you can find it later.) |
| 6 - Find the newly downloaded hotfix file and double-click it. This will launch a self-extractor to extract the installation files. Usually, you can indicate a temporary directory such as C:\temp as the location for the expanded files. (Wherever you save them, make a note so you can find them.) |
| 7 - Go to the newly expanded hotfix file and double-click it to run it. This will start the installation. |
| 8 - Follow the installation instructions for the hotfix file. |
| 9 - Once you have completed the hotfix installation, Tradeseeker should begin working again. |
